Milaap is an online crowdfunding platform that enables anyone across India to raise funds for healthcare, education, sports, disaster relief and other personal causes, with great ease. What started as a platform to fund rural projects and micro entrepreneurs, is today widely utilised by Indians to raise funds from friends, family and a wider social network for medical needs, loved ones and charity. Milaap is soon becoming the go-to platform for funding cancer treatment, transplants and other critical emergencies. As of August 2019, the platform has raised nearly INR 700 Cr to support 100,000 causes, impacting millions of lives across the country.

Problem Statement

Solution

To address the challenges Milaap faced with the resignation and off-boarding process, we developed a comprehensive workflow in the Salesforce nonprofit Success Pack. This workflow manages the entire resignation process, starting with the resignation application and extending to email notifications to relevant parties. It also includes steps for the handover of assets, ensuring that all company property is returned in a systematic manner. Furthermore, the workflow facilitates the transfer of necessary documentation, which previously required multiple steps and manual intervention. By automating these tasks, we were able to significantly streamline the off-boarding process, reducing administrative burden and minimising the risk of errors or oversight. For the syncing issues related to fund deposits and transfers for their partners, we created a robust data model within the system. This data model is designed to handle the complexities of financial transactions and ensure accurate data synchronisation. Additionally, we added a feature that allows users to upload relevant files directly into the system. Once uploaded, these files are automatically processed and integrated into the system, eliminating the need for manual data entry and reducing the potential for errors. This enhancement not only improves the efficiency of the data synchronisation process but also ensures that partners receive timely and accurate updates regarding their funds and transfers. By implementing these solutions, Milaap was able to streamline their operations, enhance overall efficiency, and focus more on their core activities rather than being bogged down by administrative challenges.
